I am doubly sure, yours faithfully will not be among the ‘invited’ guests to welcome you Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to the ‘Home of Heritage and Hospitality’ for your two-day working visit. I will definitely not allow myself to be coward into telling what you want to hear.
Katsina state may be the Home of Heritage and Hospitality’, but at the moment we are not feeling or being hospitable. Most of us are REALLY hungry, no thanks to your many ill advised economic policies that pauperise the majority, and make a very few (insignificant minority) multi billionaires and trillionaires, including yourself, your local associates, and your foreign masters.
I am sure the streets, from the Umaru Musa Yar’adua Airport (if you had your way, you would not mind it renamed ‘Tinubu’ International Airport) to the government house, and the various locations of your ‘official’ assignments, would be lined up by children (forced) and grown up people ( rented crowd), because most citizens are not in any way happy with your regime, except those who live for today, forgetting that there is a PERMANENT tomorrow waiting for EVERY human being and jinn.
But the recent offensive remark about Northerners made by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyson Wike, has definitely left many people from this side of Nigeria flabbergasted at his temerity in the face of your struggle to get the Northern voters to agree to elect you for a second term in 2027. Some unpatriotic Northerners have of course, ‘given’ the Northern votes to you. If you are not aware, they are only deceiving you and themselves, Mr. President.
Wike’s tasteless remark, in which he claimed Northerners would reelect you for as little as N20,000 to each voter, would appear to enjoy your imprimatur, Mr. President. No matter how powerful he may appear, the FCT minister is still your appointee and therefore under you and operating by your command. Besides, you appear to share the same rabid hatred for Northern Nigeria with him, given your previous anti North rhetorics about wanting the country ‘RESTRUCTUED’. We have also not forgotten about your ‘EMELOKUN’ statement so soon, Mr. President.
It is still in our minds that Minister Nyson Wike had, as the Governor of Rivers State, stated unambiguously, and without any regret or remorse, that his state (Rivers) was “a Christian state and Muslims are not welcome”. That is typical of the ethnic group from which he originated, anyway. He made the statement at the time Reverend Father Hassan Mathew Kukah has the headquarters of his Catholic Diocese already put in place in Sokoto, the capital city of what the Christian derisively call ‘the Caliphate’.
By that statement of his, the Heavens did not fall, and no Muslim claimed Nigeria was being Christianised. Now, imagine that speech coming from a Muslim, your Excellency. All hell would have broken loose, because the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) would have cried itself hoarse with the allegation that Nigeria was going to be Islamised’, amplified by most of the Southern media.
The minister’s strongly held sentiment is similar to your son Seyin’s (First Son) insult to the Ramadan performing Northerners, each of whom he gave a mere two measures (MUDU) of uncooked rice, and ONE packet of meatless restaurant-packaged rice, whereas he gave from N50,000 to N500,000 as seed money to some marketers in Lagos.
The same Northern Nigeria, which you once referred to as a ‘PARASITE’ to the Southern part of the country, is in the main, also in DARKNESS most of the time, because the Minister of Power, Mr. Adebayo Adelabu, has decided it shall be so. With your approval, it would appear.
There are also no SECURITY in most parts of the North, due to the activities of insurgents, including the ubiquitous bandits. Many people are aware that the insecurity is man-caused, according to the confessions of many people in Western countries, a lot of them in positions of authority.
You recently announced the ‘SIGNING’ away of Nigeria to the US and France, to “help in getting rid of the insecurity” which they were accused of being part and parcel of. By the several admissions of some white men before their assemblies, and by some Nigerians, before the security agencies, notably the Nigerian Police, many arrested criminals, some of them as young as 15-year olds, they allege that the two countries were not only supplying the sophisticated weapons the criminals use in their many deadly attacks on the locals, they were also responsible for training them how to operate the weapons.
You and your Junior minister of Defence made the infamous announcements the the two countries have become the police of Nigeria, even though they are very hostile to the Muslim population in the North Western part of the country, the area the armies of the two countries are going to be based.
For the information of Mr. President, France, under her leadership of your close friend, President Emmanuel Macron, is noted for her rabid bigotry against Islam and Muslims to the Edo extent that, although many of the nation’s football players are Muslims, the Hijab is banned for Muslim women to wear and appear in public. To do so the woman would be considered a ‘TERRORIST’, and guilty of arrest-able and prosecutable offence. But the NUN is free to wear the Habit WHEREVER she chooses to do so, because she is considered as ‘exercising a religious duty’.
Enough of the tons if my complaints, delivered in a very unintelligent style of narration, before I am accused of monopolising and abusing the space.
May God protect His listening servants who frown at all illegal worldly acquisitions, and focus on the eventual return to Him in the hereafter.
